A little bit about Japan
- Japan is an archipelago with almost 7,000 islands.
- You might think of Japan as a highly populated country, but in reality almost 70% of the country is covered by mountains and volcanos. It's a hikers paradise!
- Japan self isolated for over 200 years in the 1600's to separate from the rest of the world to preserve its religion and traditions. They did it quite successfully!
- Japan is the only country in the world with an Emperor, who now plays a simbolic role only.
- Since November 2019 Japan, and more precisely Tokyo, is my home.
